Someone from The Cable in Nigeria gets the chance to interview John Ugbe, the managing director of MultiChoice Nigeria, and then asks trash like "Star Trek inspired a lot of Americans to go into science and to the moon. What does Big Brother inspire among Nigerians?" as if that's all that's being shown on DStv.

Meanwhile internet subscriptions in Kenya are growing, as are people subscribing to cheaper digital terrestrial television (DTT) pay-TV services.
